A Jefferson City man suffered gunshot wounds early Sunday during a shooting incident that occurred at an apartment complex on the west edge of the city.
Cole County sheriff's deputies were called to the 3700 block of Randall Drive around 1:45 a.m. Investigators recovered several shell casings at the scene. Shortly thereafter, they stopped a suspect vehicle on South Country Club Drive south of Missouri Boulevard.
An ambulance transported the victim, whose name was not immediately available, to a local hospital. The investigation is continuing.
