JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (AP) -- A second former intern of Missouri state Sen. Paul LeVota says the lawmaker invited her to his apartment and sent her inappropriate text messages that were sexual in nature.
Taylor Hirth says the Independence Democrat asked her to come to his Jefferson City duplex for drinks during her 2010 internship. Hirth says she believes LeVota should resign.
LeVota didn't immediately respond Thursday to a request for comment from The Associated Press. He told The Kansas City Star the events didn't happen.
Hirth's claims come after the Senate released findings Wednesday from an investigation into a sexual harassment complaint against LeVota. An intern from this past legislative session alleged a pattern of sexual harassment.
LeVota denied those claims. That former intern hasn't responded to requests for comment from the AP.
