BALLWIN, Mo. (AP) - A member of Missouri's Republican congressional delegation is sending a $1,000 campaign donation from Donald Trump to a Veterans of Foreign Wars post.
The St. Louis Post-Dispatch (http://bit.ly/1flH4aH) reports that U.S. Rep. Ann Wagner's decision announced Tuesday came after the businessman and Republican presidential candidate's comments about Arizona Sen. John McCain's experience as a tortured prisoner of war in Vietnam.
Wagner says she has never met Trump and did not solicit the donation before the 2014 election. She has sent the money to the VFW post in Ballwin, a St. Louis suburb that is part of her district.
