Two injured in Osage County accident

Two Westphalia residents were injured in a two-vehicle accident at 3:09 p.m. Tuesday on U.S. 63 at County Road 511 in Osage County.

According to the Missouri Highway Patrol report, a 2006 Lincoln Zephyr, driven eastbound by Valerie Schaben, 45, of Westphalia, failed to yield to and struck a 2004 Jeep Grande Cherokee, driven northbound by Kayla N. Ricks, 16.

Two passengers in the Schaben vehicle, Tala D. Schaben, 9, and Michael E. Werdehausen, 22, both of Westphalia, were taken to University Hospital, Columbia.

Everyone was wearing a seat belt.
