KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) - Authorities are investigating after a tractor-trailer crashed into a Missouri Department of Transportation building in Kansas City.
KSHB-TV (http://bit.ly/1O2jOKX) reports that the crash happened around 2 a.m. Saturday. Police said the driver had been eastbound on Interstate 670 and veered off the entrance ramp to U.S. 71. The rig then went through a ditch and hit the back of the building, knocking out a wall and causing the roof to collapse.
The driver was taken to a hospital but no one else was hurt.
