BLUE SPRINGS, Mo. - The Jefferson City American Legion Post 5 Juniors wrapped up pool play in the Blue Springs Wooden Bat Tournament with a record of 3-0.
The local club won its first game 8-5 against Springfield Glendale, with Parker Schnieders getting the win on the mound.
Post 5 then beat the Blue Springs Elks 4-0, with Logan Bexten throwing a complete-game shutout.
Jefferson City then beat a Nebraska team 1-0 on a complete-game shutout by Tyler Cassmeyer.
The Juniors open championship play at 11:30 today.
