BORE/MPC LLC, the joint venture between MFA Oil Company and Big O Tires, recently announced MFA Oil had purchased Big O Tires' interest in the partnership, according to a news release.
Formed in 1998, BORE/MPC is the Big O Tires franchisee that owns and operates 14 Big O Tires stores in Camdenton, Columbia, Hollister, Jefferson City, Nixa, Osage Beach, Rolla, Springfield and St. Roberts, as well as in Bentonville and Springdale, Arkansas. New stores also will open in Branson and Fayetteville, Arkansas, this year.
"This is a good deal for MFA Oil Company," said Rusty Coats, MFA Oil director of retail tire operations, in the news release. "Not only was the cost of the buyout favorable, but the single-company ownership will allow us to be quicker and more flexible in our business decisions."
