Holts Summit teen injured in one-car wreck

A Holts Summit teenager was in serious condition at the University of Missouri Hospital after sustaining injuries in a one-vehicle accident Friday.

At 6 p.m. on Boone County on Missouri 63 south of Deer Park, the vehicle driven by Justice Adrian, 16, ran off the left side of the road, overturned and ejected some of the four occupants, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol reports.

Adrian, Jefferson City; Olivia Fain, 14, Holts Summit; and Austin Hoyt, 16, Holts Summit were all treated and released from the university hospital. Nathaniel Morton, 16, Holts Summit, is in serious condition.

Three drivers were injured in a traffic pile up at 7:20 p.m. Friday in Boone County on Missouri 63 north of Route H.

Traffic had stopped and created congestion as the result of a previous motor vehicle crash. The vehicle driven by Darrian Leonard, 17, Ashland, failed to stop, striking the vehicle driven by Courtney Desko, 23, Jefferson City. Then, Desko's vehicle subsequently was pushed into the vehicle driven by Scott Guthrie, 34, Ashland, according to patrol reports.
