Jefferson City School Board schedules two meetings

The Jefferson City Board of Education on Monday is holding two public meetings - a special open session and a work session.

The first at 7:30 a.m. will give the board an opportunity to certify the April 7 ballot.

As of Friday, four challengers and one incumbent had filed to serve on the board. Two seats are open for election.

The people interested in running are: Michael Couty, Pam Murray, Dan Renfrow, Adrian Hendricks and Joy Sweeney, who is the incumbent.

At 6 p.m., the board will meet to hear a presentation on and discuss the district's strategic plan.

Both meetings are open to the public and will be at the district's central offices at 315 E. Dunklin St.
