Women's Basketball: Central Missouri 79, Lincoln 67

WARRENSBURG, Mo. - Kelsey Williams scored 20 points in a losing effort for Lincoln, as the Blue Tigers fell 79-67 on Wednesday. Williams shot 7-of-14 from the field and notched six rebounds and four assists as well.

The Jennies built a 23-10 lead with a 11-0 run early in the first half. The Blue Tigers couldn't get any closer than seven the remainder of the half and trailed 44-29 to begin the second.

Central Missouri stretched the lead to 20 at 54-34, but Lincoln pulled within eight with 5:49 to play.

The Blue Tigers whittled the margin to 69-63 with less than three minutes to play, but that was as close as they would get.

Kate Frazier was also in double figures for Lincoln with 15 points. Lizzie Nessling scored 11, and Hunter Yoakum scored 10.

Revonnia Howard led the Jennies with 17 points.

Central Missouri had five players score 11 or more.

Lincoln (6-9) returns to the court Saturday against Southwest Baptist at home.
