Boys Basketball: Tuscumbia 68, Richland 48

IBERIA, Mo. - Tuscumbia leapt out to a 22-2 lead by the end of the first quarter and held on for a 68-48 defeat of Richland on Wednesday in the semifinals of the Iberia Tournament.

After the lop-sided first quarter, Tuscumbia brought a 38-16 into half and a 52-32 edge into the fourth quarter.

Zane Humphreys had a double-double for the Lions with 17 points and 10 rebounds. David Huddleston scored a team-high 24 points for Tuscumbia, and Orrie Patterson and Nick Grimwood added 14 and 10, respectively.

Logan Mathis led Richland with 16 points, and Chandler Berscha had 15.

Tuscumbia (13-4) plays in the championship game Friday against Iberia.
