2 injured in 4-vehicle crash

Two people were treated for minor injuries after a four-vehicle crash in Jefferson City on Tuesday morning.

Police reports show the accident in the 2700 block of West Main Street occurred at 8:52 a.m.

A van driven by Troy Funk, 35, Jefferson City, was going east on West Main and crossed into the westbound lane, striking a vehicle driven by Sherry Patrick, 57, Jefferson City, that was stopped waiting to make a left turn into a private parking lot.

Behind Patrick's vehicle was a vehicle driven by Kristopher Jones, Jefferson City, which was stopped in traffic and behind it was a vehicle driven by Megan Ochoa, 25, Jefferson City.

The impact between Funk and Patrick's vehicles started a chain reaction as Patrick's vehicle was pushed into the rear of Jones' vehicle and Jones' vehicle was forced into the rear of Ochoa's vehicle.

Patrick and her passenger, Tremaine Smith, 25, Jefferson City, were taken to a local hospital for treatment of minor injuries. All others had no reported injuries.

All drivers and occupants were wearing their seat belts.
