STORRS, Conn. (AP) - Moriah Jefferson scored 15 points and added seven assists and six rebounds and No. 2 UConn beat USF 92-50 on Sunday to claim sole possession of first place in the American Athletic Conference.

Kaleena Mosqueda-Lewis led UConn (16-1, 6-0) with 18 points. Breanna Stewart had 17 points and 10 rebounds and Morgan Tuck added 15 points.

Courtney Williams had 23 points for USF (14-4, 5-1), which came into the game on an eight-game winning streak and tied with the Huskies atop the conference standings.

But the Bulls could not stay with the defending national champions.

UConn led by 18 points and halftime and used a 17-0 run in the second half to put the game away.

No. 4 LOUISVILLE 67, VIRGINIA 55

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) - Sara Hammond scored 16 of Louisville's first 20 points and the Cardinals held off Virginia.

The senior forward finished with 20 points as Louisville (17-1, 5-0 Atlantic Coast Conference) won its ninth straight and remained perfect in the conference to sit atop the ACC standings.

Virginia (13-5, 3-2) trailed by five with 10 minutes left. Myisha Hines-Allen's jumper with 2:29 remaining put the Cardinals up 61-50 to seal the win. Hines-Allen scored 15 of her 17 points in the second half.

Faith Randolph led the Cavaliers with 24 points, her third straight game with 23 or more points. Sarah Imovbioh added 11 points and 15 rebounds.

No. 8 MARYLAND 74, ILLINOIS 54

COLLEGE PARK, Md. (AP) - Brionna Jones had a career-high 24 points with 14 rebounds, and Maryland overcame a second-half lull to beat Illinois and extend its winning streak to nine games.

Shatori Walker-Kimbrough and Lexie Brown each scored 13 for the Terrapins, the lone unbeaten team in Big Ten play.

Maryland (15-2, 6-0) hasn't lost since Dec. 3, against then No. 1 Notre Dame. Since that time, the Terrapins have gone 5-0 at home and defeated three ranked teams on the road.

Freshman Amarah Coleman scored a season-high 24 for Illinois (11-7, 2-4), which dropped its third straight. The Illini committed 27 turnovers and had three players finish with four fouls.

LSU 84, No. 10 Kentucky 79

BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) - Danielle Ballard scored a season-high 25 points to go with five assists, and LSU posted its second-straight upset of a ranked team, beating Kentucky.

The Lady Tigers (10-8, 4-2 Southeastern Conference) improved to 3-1 since Ballard, who last season averaged 10.7 points, returned after being suspended for LSU's first 14 games for a violation of team rules.

Raigyne Moncrief scored 15 points, while Sheila Boykin had 14 points and 11 rebounds for LSU, which was coming off a double-overtime victory at No. 15 Mississippi State on Thursday.

Jennifer O'Neill scored 19 for Kentucky (15-4, 4-2), which lost for the second time in three games - the first loss coming at No. 1 South Carolina on Jan. 11, when starting Kentucky point guard Janee Thompson was lost for the season with a broken left leg.

Linnae Harper had 16 points and 15 rebounds for the Wildcats.

No. 11 TEXAS A&M 58, MISSISSIPPI 49

COLLEGE STATION, Texas (AP) - Courtney Williams had 21 points and seven rebounds to help Texas A&M beat Mississippi.

Courtney Walker added 12 points, Achiri Ade had nine points and 13 rebounds and Jordan Jones finished with eight rebounds, six assists and six steals for Texas A&M (16-3, 4-1 SEC), which held Ole Miss to its lowest-scoring output of the season.

The Rebels (14-5, 4-2), who had won eight of their last nine games and three in a row, led 29-27 at halftime but committed 17 turnovers and made just 1 of 8 from 3-point range in the second half.

Erika Sisk made a layup to give Mississippi a 41-38 lead with 13:28 left, but Texas A&M scored 11 straight as the Rebels went scoreless over the next 6:20.

Sisk paced Ole Miss with 15 points. Tia Faleru added 11 points, 12 rebounds and three blocks.

No. 12 NORTH CAROLINA 78, CLEMSON 56

CLEMSON, S.C. (AP) - Jessica Washington scored a career-high 20 points to help North Carolina beat Clemson.

The Tar Heels have won nine straight road games against Clemson dating back to 1996-97.

Stephanie Mavunga had 15 points for North Carolina (16-3, 3-2 ACC), Jamie Cherry added 12 and Allisha Gray 10. Washington made 7 of 11 shots, including 4 of 7 3-pointers, as the Tar Heels connected on 52.8 percent of their field goals.

Nikki Dixon made 13 of 14 free throws and finished with 17 points for Clemson (9-10, 1-5).

No. 15 MISSISSIPPI STATE 66, ALABAMA 50

STARKVILLE, Miss. (AP) - Kendra Grant and Morgan Williams came off the bench to score 17 and 12 points, respectively, to lead Mississippi State to a win over Alabama.

The defense for the Bulldogs (19-2, 4-2 SEC) was dominant, holding the Crimson Tide (11-9, 0-5) to 30 percent shooting, just 1 of 7 from 3-point range, and forcing 22 turnovers.

Another reserve, Martha Alwal, grabbed 10 rebounds, had three steals and blocked three of the seven shots the Bulldogs rejected.

Meoshonti Knight led Alabama with 13 points, hitting 9 of 10 free throws as the Crimson Tide went 23 of 31 from the line.

Mississippi State shot just 37.5 percent from the field but hit six 3s and made 18 of 22 free throws.

Alabama was within five midway through the second half but the Bulldogs had an 11-0 run in the closing minutes.

No. 16 DUKE 68, MIAMI 53

DURHAM, N.C. (AP) - Elizabeth Williams scored 24 points and grabbed 11 rebounds to help Duke beat Miami.

Williams moved into seventh place on Duke's all-time scoring list with her 24th career double-double.

Azura Stevens had a career-high 20 points and grabbed seven rebounds for Duke (13-5, 4-1 ACC). Williams was 12 of 18 from the field as the Blue Devils hit 54.5 percent of their shots.

Necole Sterling made five 3-pointers and finished with 17 points for Miami (14-4, 4-1). The Hurricanes had their six-game winning streak snapped.

No. 18 GEORGIA 64, VANDERBILT 53

ATHENS, Ga. (AP) - Shacobia Barbee scored 14 points with 11 rebounds and Georgia held off Vanderbilt.

Georgia (16-3, 4-2 SEC) led by one early in the second half when the Bulldogs went on a 13-4 run - including seven points from Barbee - lifting the lead to 10 with 3:33 remaining and Vandy didn't have a late run in them.

Krista Donald scored 13 points with seven boards. Merritt Hempe and Marjorie Butler had 11 points apiece for Georgia.

Rebekah Dahlman was 6 of 8 for 17 points to lead Vanderbilt (10-8, 1-4), while Marqu'es Webb added 11 points.

No. 20 FLORIDA STATE 59, VIRGINIA TECH 44

BLACKSBURG, Va. (AP) - Shakayla Thomas scored 19 points, Maegan Conwright added 12 including three 3-pointers and Florida State cruised to a win over Virginia Tech.

Florida State (17-2, 4-1 ACC) has now won four straight, and 13 of its last 14, games.

A layup and a jumper by Thomas sparked an 11-2 run which gave Florida State a 21-9 about 8 minutes before the half.

The Seminoles closed the first half on an 8-0 run and a jumper by Morgan Jones followed by a Thomas layup gave Florida State its biggest lead, 36-14, with 17:31 remaining.

Hannah Young scored 10 during a 14-2 run that pulled Virginia Tech within nine, 40-31, with 11:36 to play, but the Hokies (9-10, 0-6) would get no closer.

No. 22 IOWA 52, MICHIGAN STATE 50

EAST LANSING, Mich. (AP) - Samantha Logic and Melissa Dixon scored 13 points apiece and Iowa survived a shaky and wild finish to beat Michigan State.

The Spartans kept the high-powered Hawkeye offense (79.8 points a game) in check but couldn't come up with a final key play down the stretch.

Lexi Gussert's layup with 2:31 left pulled Michigan State (9-9, 1-6 Big Ten) within 49-45 but had turnovers on their next three possessions. Meanwhile the Hawkeyes (14-3, 5-1) couldn't score and Logic (74 percent) and Dixon (86 percent) missed the front end of one-and-one free throws.

No. 23 MINNESOTA 65, INDIANA 61

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - Carile Wagner's jumper with 37 seconds left lifted Minnesota over Indiana.

Wagner's 3 with 1:18 left in the game gave Minnesota a 60-59 lead. Indiana's Jenn Anderson responded with a jumper with 55 seconds, but Minnesota's Mikayla Bailey made a steal and on the possession, Wagner's jumper put the Gophers in the lead for good. Amanda Zahui and Shae Kelley added free throws for the final margin.

Wagner finished with 13 points. Kelley led Minnesota (16-2, 5-1 Big Ten) with 19 points and 13 boards.

Amanda Cahill and Larryn Brooks paced Indiana (12-5, 2-4) with 12 points apiece.

No. 24 RUTGERS 73, WISCONSIN 63

MADISON, Wis. (AP) - Cynthia Hernandez scored 17 points to lead five Rutgers players in double figures as the Scarlet Knights beat Wisconsin.

Kahleah Copper had 14 points and Betnijah Laney recorded her 12th double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds for Rutgers (13-5, 4-3 Big 10). Rachel Hollivay added 11 points and Tyler Scaife 10. The Scarlet Knights made just 27 of 71 (38 percent) field goals, but grabbed 21 offensive rebounds and forced 16 Wisconsin turnovers.

A 3-pointer by Jacki Gulczynski and a layup by Dakota Whyte pulled the Badgers (7-10, 3-4) within one with 12:12 to play, but Hernandez and Syessence Davis hit back-to-back 3's to spark a 19-6 run.

No. 25 SYRACUSE 64, BOSTON COLLEGE 46

BOSTON (AP) - Reserves Taylor Ford and Diamond Henderson combined for 24 points in the second half as Syracuse pulled away from Boston College.

Ford finished with 15 points and Henderson 13 for the Orange (13-5, 3-2 ACC), with Alexis Peterson adding 11 with six assists and Bria Day grabbing 11 rebounds.

Kelly Hughes, the leading scorer for Boston College (8-10, 0-5) at 15 points a game, was held to three. Emilee Daley and Ashley Kelsick had 11 each.
