WESTPHALIA, Mo. - An 18-2 burst in the third quarter led the Lady Comets to a 66-38 defeat of Blair Oaks on Friday in the third-place game of the Fatima Blue and Gold Tournament.
Fatima led 10-9 after one quarter and 26-20 at the half before taking a 44-22 lead into the fourth quarter.
Morgan Brandt and Sammey Bunch scored 19 and 16 points, respectively, to lead the Lady Comets. Chelsi Emerson led the Lady Falcons with 12 points.
The two teams return to the court Tuesday, Blair Oaks (6-7) at Battle and Fatima (14-2) at New Bloomfield.
