COLUMBIA, Mo. (AP) - Tiffany Mitchell scored 19 points, Alaina Coates added 15 and Aleighsa Welch had 14 rebounds in top-ranked South Carolina's 60-49 victory over Missouri on Thursday night.

South Carolina improved to 17-0 overall and 5-0 in Southeastern Conference play, its best start since joining the league in 1991.

Sierra Michaelis had a career-high 22 points for Missouri (11-7, 1-4).

NO. 7 NOTRE DAME 89, NO. 12 NORTH CAROLINA 79

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. (AP) - Freshman Brianna Turner had 29 points and a season-high 18 rebounds and Notre Dame shot 63 percent in the second half to beat North Carolina.

The 6-foot-3 forward matched her season highs in points and blocked shots with seven for the Fighting Irish (16-2, 4-1 Atlantic Coast Conference). Sophomore Lindsay Allen added a career-best 24 points.

Allisha Gray scored 20 points for North Carolina (15-3, 2-2).

NO. 6 TENNESSEE 54, AUBURN 42

AUBURN, Ala. (AP) - Andraya Carter hit three first-half 3-pointers and scored 11 points to help Tennessee extend its winning streak to 11.

Jordan Reynolds also had 11 points on 5-of-6 shooting for the Lady Vols (15-2, 5-0 Southeastern Conference). Tra'Cee Tanner led Auburn (9-9, 0-5) with 14 points.

NO. 8 MARYLAND 71, NO. 24 RUTGERS 59

PISCATAWAY, N.J. (AP) - Laurin Mincy scored a season-high 24 points to lead Maryland to its eighth straight victory.

Maryland (14-2, 5-0 Big Ten) blew an 18-point first-half lead before pulling away midway through the second half. The Terrapins have beaten three Top 25 teams on the road in conference, also topping No. 17 Nebraska and No. 17 Minnesota.

Kahleah Copper scored 16 points for Rutgers (12-5, 3-3).

NO. 10 KENTUCKY 62, FLORIDA 56

LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) - Makayla Epps scored 20 points and kept Kentucky ahead with perfect foul shooting.

Epps made all eight of her free throws, including six in the final 3 minutes. She was 6 for 10 from the field and had four assists. Kentucky (15-3, 4-1 Southeastern Conference) rebounded from a 68-60 loss at top-ranked South Carolina on Sunday. Cassie Peoples led Florida (9-9, 1-4) with 12 points.

LSU 71, NO. 15 MISSISSIPPI STATE 69, 2OT

STARKVILLE, Miss. (AP) - Danielle Ballard scored 24 points, including the go-ahead bucket in the second overtime, and grabbed 10 rebounds to help LSU upset Mississippi State.

Raigyne Moncrief contributed 18 points and DaShawn Harden added 13 for LSU (9-8, 3-2 Southeastern Conference). Moncrief hit a free throw to tie it at 53 at the end of regulation.

Mississippi State (18-2, 3-2) took a 61-58 lead with Ketara Chapel's free throw with 6 seconds left in the first overtime, but Ballard hit a 3-pointer just ahead of the buzzer to tie it again.

Dominique Dillingham led Mississippi State with 18 points.

NO. 16 DUKE 65, VIRGINIA TECH 40

DURHAM, N.C. (AP) - Rebecca Greenwell made 4 of 8 3-pointers and finished with 21 points in Duke's victory over Virginia Tech.

The Blue Devils (12-5, 3-1 Atlantic Coast Conference) scored 17 straight points in the first half to take a 30-16 lead with 6:26 left. Vanessa Panousis had 14 points for Virginia Tech (9-9, 0-5).

NO. 17 NEBRASKA 73, PENN STATE 45

LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) - Freshman guard Natalie Romero scored a season-high 18 points, making 6 of 11 3-pointers, and Nebraska beat Penn State for its third straight victory.

Tear'a Laudermill had 12 points and a career-high five steals for the Cornhuskers (13-3, 3-2 Big Ten). Candice Agee had 13 points for Penn State (3-14, 0-6).

MISSISSIPPI 55, NO. 18 GEORGIA 52

OXFORD, Miss. (AP) - Erika Sisk hit three straight free throws in the final 28 seconds to lift Mississippi past Georgia.

Sisk and Tia Faleru and Sisk each scored 12 points for Mississippi (14-4, 4-1 Southeastern Conference), and Danielle McCray and Gracie Frizzell added 11 each.

Erika Ford led Georgia (15-3, 3-2) with 20 points.

NO. 20 FLORIDA STATE 58, PITTSBURGH 43

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) - Leticia Romero had 19 and seven rebounds for Florida State.

Shakayla Thomas added 13 points and 10 rebounds for the Seminoles (16-2, 3-1 Atlantic Coast Conference). Yacine Diop and Monica Wignot each had 10 points for Pittsburgh (11-5, 1-2).

NO. 23 MINNESOTA 76, OHIO STATE 72

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) - Shae Kelley had career highs with 29 points and 18 rebounds for Minnesota.

Mikayla Bailey added 16 points and 12 rebounds for the Gophers (15-2, 4-1 Big Ten). Kelsey Mitchell hit a school-record nine 3-pointers and had 36 points for Ohio State (11-7, 3-3).

NO. 25 SYRACUSE 73, WAKE FOREST 62

SYRACUSE, N.Y. (AP) - Alexis Peterson scored a career-high 32 points, 13 more than her previous best, to lead Syracuse past Wake Forest.

Briana Day had 13 rebounds for the Orange (12-5, 2-2 Atlantic Coast Conference). Dearica Hamby had 28 points and 11 rebounds for Wake Forest (9-9, 0-4).
