The Jays Kids Club wrestled in a pair of tournaments this weekend.
On Saturday, the club wrestled at the Blair Oaks Tournament in Wardsville.
Medalists included:
• First - Brandon Backues, Samuel Jakob, William Berendzen, Erick Richardson, Clayton Hurley, Omer Ballinger, A'Tiq Muhammad, Jabari Hubbard, Boston Howard and Demarkus Lyddon-Allen.
• Second - Tanner Quick, Eli Homman, Patrick Morrow, Sophie Jakob, Paxton Holliday, Davis Wilkinson, Julian Hooper, Whit Nichols, Cameron McKee and Douglas Blaha.
• Third - Jack Salmons, Dawson Paul, Ruben Pirtle, Griffen McNail, Hunter Pearon, Tobey Richardson, Cameron Cooper, Joseph Schaefer, Dawson Cain, Jevin McKee, Brayden Blaha and Lucas McMahan,
• Fourth - Gabe Zimmerman, Kenny Richardson, Michael Friederich, Dominic Stafford, William Carroll, Noah McKee, Deegan Mitchell and Levi Krogstd.
On Sunday, the club wrestled at the Fulton Tournament.
Medalists included:
• 6-and-under - Lucas McMahan, third.
• 8-and-under - Jeremiah Austin and Boston Howard, first; Cameron McKee and Deegan Mitchell, third; Demarkus Lyddon-Allen, fourth.
• 10-and-under - Tanner Quick and Omer Ballinger, first; Quincy Frye, second; Jesse Bilyeu and Clayton Hurley, third.
• 12-and-under - William Berendzen, first; Michael Frederich, second and third; A'Tiq Muhammad, 3rd
• 14-and-under - Jack Salmons, third.
