Boys basketball: Linn 69, Cuba 59

OWENSVILLE, Mo. - The Linn Wildcats used a big fourth quarter to beat the Cuba Wildcats 69-59 in a pool-play game Thursday at the Owensville Tournament.

The game was tied at 15 after one quarter, and Linn held slim leads of 28-26 at halftime and 47-46 after three quarters. But Linn had a 22-13 scoring edge in the final period to pull away.

Ben Klebba racked up a double-double for Linn, posting 21 points and 11 rebounds. He was one of four Linn players to score in double figures, as Blake Snyder had 12, Alec Strope added 11 and Tony Mebruer chipped in with 10.

The win put Linn at 1-1 in pool play and moved it into today's third-place game against Steelville, the second-place finisher in the other pool. Game time is 6:30 p.m.
