Jefferson City woman gets probation

A Jefferson City woman was placed on five years supervised probation after pleading guilty to charges in connection with an incident where she held a man at knifepoint last July.

Police probable cause statements show Francesca Martinez, 38, of 505 Ellis Blvd., was charged with second-degree domestic assault and resisting arrest.

Martinez pushed, bit and held the man at knifepoint at a residence in the 100 block of Ventura Avenue.

Officers found her, and she refused to give a statement.

When the officers attempted to take her into custody, Martinez used her legs to brace herself against walls and furniture, and eventually was dragged to a police car.
