Indiana State downs Missouri State

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (AP) - Justin Gant scored a career-high 24 points and Devonte Brown added 16 to help Indiana State roll to a 71-56 victory against Missouri State on Wednesday night.

Gant was 9-of-13 from the floor and Brown finished on 7-of-10 shooting for Indiana State (7-8, 3-0 Missouri Valley), which shot 28-of-50 for 56 percent from the field.

Indiana State led 39-28 at the break before Missouri State pulled within 50-45 at the 11:14 mark on Austin Ruder's three free throws. The Sycamores answered with a 10-0 run and led by double digits the rest of the way.

Dorrian Williams and Marcus Marshall had 11 points and four assists apiece, and Ruder scored 14 points for Missouri State (8-7, 2-1). The Bears outrebounded the Sycamores 29-26, but made just 18-of-48 shots (37.5 percent).
