Helias boys ranked No. 1 in Class 4

The Helias Crusaders were highly touted heading into the basketball season. Now they have the ranking to go along with it.

After taking the title in the Joe Machens Great 8 Classic during the holidays, the Crusaders are No. 1 in the latest Class 4 rankings by the Missouri Coaches Basketball Association released Wednesday.

Helias was No. 2 in the previous rankings behind St. Charles, which fell to sixth in the most recent poll. Lafayette and Lincoln Prep round out the top three in Class 4.

The only other boys school in the area ranked is Eugene, which is No. 3 in Class 3.

On the girls side, three area schools are No. 4 in their respective classes - Fatima in Class 3, Tipton in Class 2 and Tuscumbia in Class 1.
