No. 3 TEXAS 61, WEST VIRGINIA 55

AUSTIN, Texas (AP) - Nneka Enemkpali had 11 points and 12 rebounds, and No. 3 Texas stayed unbeaten with a tough win over West Virginia.

The Longhorns (13-0, 2-0 Big 12) are off to their best start since the 1985-86 team went undefeated and won the school's lone national championship. Four other players scored at least eight points for the Longhorns, who had a 14-point lead cut to four and had to withstand a second-half burst from Bria Holmes, the preseason Big 12 player of the year.

Holmes scored 22 for West Virginia (10-4, 0-2), which won a share of the Big 12 title last season but is off to a rough start, with No. 5 Baylor up next.

Enemkpali had her seventh consecutive double-double, breaking her school record of six.

No. 16 OKLAHOMA STATE 66, TEXAS TECH 35

STILLWATER, Okla. (AP) - Brittney Martin scored 18 points with 11 rebounds and Roshunda Johnson added 14 points with four steals as No. 16 Oklahoma State routed Texas Tech 66-35 in the Big 12 opener for both teams.

The loss was Texas Tech's first since falling to North Carolina State on Nov. 29. The Lady Raiders had since put together a seven-game win streak. Oklahoma State improved to 9-0 at home.

No. 24 RUTGERS 81, MICHIGAN 68

PISCATAWAY, N.J. (AP) - Betnijah Laney had 20 points and 10 rebounds and No. 24 Rutgers recovered from blowing an 18-point second half lead to beat Michigan.

The Scarlet Knights (11-4, 2-2 Big Ten) appeared as though they were going to cruise to an easy conference win, building an 45-27 lead early in the second half before Michigan rallied to tie the game at 51. Rutgers didn't fold, scoring the next seven points, started on a three-point play by Kahleah Copper. Laney's jumper with 8:32 left made it 58-51.

Michigan (10-5, 2-2) couldn't get closer than four the rest of the way.

Tyler Scaife added 20 points for the Scarlet Knights, who were in the midst of a rare three-game home losing streak, although those games had all come against ranked opponents. They hadn't lost four straight at home since the 2001-02 season.
