Dear Editor:
I too echo Mr. Bushman's sentiments about Mr. Steppelman. I can remember my sisters going to Jacques to buy puffy formals with hoops for that special homecoming or prom dance.
I never got a dress because I was too fat to fit in one but remembering them in their dresses was warming to my heart.
I do hope Mr. Steppelman's daughters consider sharing their father's snow village with the community.
Maybe the downtown merchants who are willing and interested would display some of the collection. It would be nice to honor and remember "Mr. Christmas" Jack Steppelman in this way.
A new tradition for families could begin with this display.
Rest in peace, Jack.
