JCPD arrest pursuit suspect

Jefferson City Police have made an arrest in connection with a Dec. 30 pursuit.

In a release Monday night, police announced the arrest of Terrian Davis, 21, Jefferson City, who was taken into custody without incident in the Broadmoor Apartments on Ellis Drive.

According to police reports, Davis was the driver of the vehicle that led officers on a chase in the early morning of Dec. 30.

Officers pursued Davis on the city's east end, beginning near Hutton Lane and traveling to U. S 50 East at the city limits.

The pursuit, which began as a routine traffic stop, ended when Davis struck a deer in the road, causing his vehicle to lose control and crash off the road.

Davis fled the area, leaving two passengers in his vehicle who sustained minor to moderate injuries, resulting in their being taken to area hospitals for treatment.

According to the release, information received during an unrelated investigation led to locating Davis.

Davis has been taken to the Cole County Sheriff's Office pending charges of careless and imprudent driving, driving while revoked, leaving the scene of an accident, resisting arrest, and second-degree assault due to the injury to the passengers.

Davis was also being sought for an outstanding warrant issued through municipal court.
