2 appointments made to UM Board of Curators

JEFFERSON CITY (AP) - Gov. Jay Nixon has named two new people to a board that oversees the four-campus University of Missouri System.

Nixon said Friday that Democrats Maurice B. Graham, of Clayton, and Phillip H. Snowden, of Kansas City, were appointed to serve on the University of Missouri Board of Curators. Graham is a past president of the Missouri Bar, while Snowden served 18 years in the Legislature.

They'll replace Don Downing and David Bradley, whose terms expired Jan. 1. The appointments are subject to confirmation by the state Senate.
