ST. LOUIS (AP) - St. Louis authorities say a man died in a tent fire at a small homeless encampment near the city's downtown.
St. Louis fire Capt. Garon Mosby tells the St. Louis Post-Dispatch (http://bit.ly/1vHlSDj) that the fire happened before 3 p.m. Friday near the Stan Musial Veterans Memorial Bridge that crosses the Mississippi River.
The blaze swiftly engulfed the tent, killing the man inside.
He was not immediately identified.
Authorities were trying to pinpoint what caused the fire, though Mosby said there's nothing to indicate it was suspicious in nature.
