Jays fall at Rockhurst

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The Jefferson City Jays wrapped up the regular season Friday with a 64-60 loss to the Rockhurst Hawklets.

Jefferson City led 20-14 at the end of the first quarter. The Jays stretched their advantage to as many as 11 points in the second quarter before the Hawklets rallied to tie the game at 37 at intermission.

The game was tied at 58 with 2:33 remaining before the Hawklets closed with a 6-2 run to get the victory.

Jefferson City (16-8) is the No. 1 seed in the Class 5 District 9 Tournament next week in Camdenton. The Jays will meet Lebanon at 6 p.m. Tuesday.
