UMKC seeks to raise $6.75M from faculty, staff by June 2016

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) - The University of Missouri-Kansas has set a new faculty and staff fundraising goal after surpassing the old one.

The UMKC Foundation says it wants to raise $6.75 million from faculty and staff by the end of June 2016.

Faculty & Staff Campaign co-chair Mel Tyler says he's "thrilled with the generosity being shown." As of Feb. 11, gifts through the Faculty & Staff Campaign totaled $6.4 million. The school says gifts made through the Faculty & Staff campaign can be designated by the donor to any part of the university.
