COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) - Tiffany Mitchell scored 16 points and No. 2 South Carolina beat No. 11 Mississippi State 69-50 on Thursday night to clinch a share of its second straight Southeastern Conference regular-season title.

The Gamecocks (27-1, 15-0) can win the title outright Sunday - and match the 2011 Tennessee team as the only 16-0 champs in SEC history - with a win at No. 13 Kentucky. They also would claim the crown alone should the Lady Vols fall Sunday against Vanderbilt.

No matter what happens, South Carolina heads to next week's SEC tournament as the No. 1 seed and team to beat. The Gamecocks showed that again, using an 18-5 first-half run to take a 39-23 lead.

The Bulldogs (25-5, 10-5) could not cut the lead to fewer than 10 points after that. Victoria Vivians and LaKaris Salter had 14 points each to lead Mississippi State.

NO. 4 NOTRE DAME 87, PITTSBURGH 59

SOUTH BEND, Ind. (AP) - Jewell Loyd scored 16 points, Brianna Turner had 15 points and nine rebounds and Notre Dame clinched at least a share of the Atlantic Coast Conference regular-season league title.

Markisha Wright added a season-high 14 points for Notre Dame (27-2, 14-1). The Irish made their first 11 shots of the second half and shot 63 percent. They can win the ACC title outright for a second straight season with a victory Saturday at North Carolina State.

Brianna Kiesel led Pitt (18-10, 8-7) with 27 points.

NO. 5 MARYLAND 83, INDIANA 72

COLLEGE PARK, Md. (AP) - Laurin Mincy scored a career-high 28 points and Maryland moved within one victory of completing a perfect Big Ten regular season.

The Terrapins (26-2, 17-0) won their 20th straight game, one short of the school single-season record set in 1988-89. The longest winning streak in school history is 24, bridging the 2006 NCAA championship season and the start of the following campaign.

Maryland needs to beat No. 25 Northwestern on the road Sunday to join Ohio State (1984-85) and Purdue (1998-99) as the only Big Ten women's teams to finish unbeaten in league play.

Malina Howard and Shatori Walker-Kimbrough each added 16 for Maryland. Karlee McBride led Indiana (14-14, 4-13) with 18 points.

NO. 8 LOUISVILLE 77, BOSTON COLLEGE 60

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) - Mariya Moore scored 18 points and Louisville beat Boston College in the Cardinals' regular-season home finale.

Louisville's winningest class in school history was honored on senior night. Shawnta' Dyer, Sara Hammond, Jude Schimmel, Bria Smith and Sheronne Vails have 109 victories and all five started.

Dyer scored 13 points and Smith and Schimmel each had 11. Freshman Myisha Hines-Allen added 12 points for the Cardinals (24-4, 12-3 Atlantic Coast Conference).

Nicole Boudreau led Boston College (12-16, 4-11) with 12 points.

NO. 9 FLORIDA STATE 72, NORTH CAROLINA STATE 52

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) - Shakayla Thomas scored 13 points and Brittany Brown added 10 points and 12 rebounds to help Florida State finish off an undefeated home season.

Florida State (26-3, 13-2 Atlantic Coast Conference) went 14-0 at home for the first time in program history. The Seminoles are the only undefeated ACC team at home this season. They also tied the program record for most regular-season wins.

Dominique Wilson had 19 points to lead NC State (16-12, 7-8).

MISSOURI 70, NO. 12 TEXAS A&M 69

COLLEGE STATION, Texas (AP) - Maddie Stock made a 3-pointer with 0.1 seconds left to give Missouri the victory over Texas A&M.

Sierra Michaelis went the length of the court and drove into traffic before kicking out to Stock in the right corner. Jordan Frericks had 25 points, and Michaelis added 12 for the Tigers (Southeastern Conference).

NO. 13 KENTUCKY 56, ARKANSAS 51

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (AP) - Bria Goss scored 11 points and forced a key turnover late to help Kentucky hold off Arkansas.

Kentucky (20-8, 9-6 Southeastern Conference) reached the 20-win plateau for a school record sixth-straight season, and secured a first-round bye in the SEC tournament.

Arkansas (16-11, 6-9) is tied with Missouri for eighth in the conference, and ends its regular season against the Tigers on Sunday.

NO. 15 NORTH CAROLINA 72, VIRGINIA 70

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. (AP) - Stephanie Mavunga scored on a putback with a second left to lift North Carolina past Virginia.

Mavunga finished with 23 points for the Tar Heels (23-6, 10-5 Atlantic Coast Conference). Faith Randolph had 24 points for Virginia (16-12, 6-9).

GEORGIA TECH 71, NO. 16 DUKE 62

ATLANTA (AP) - Kaela Davis scored 24 points, Zaire O'Neil and Aaliyah Whiteside added 12 points apiece and Georgia Tech snapped a 37-game series losing streak to Duke.

Knocking off Duke for the first time since Feb. 27, 1994, the Yellow Jackets (16-13, 6-9 Atlantic Coast Conference) led from the early minutes, were up by 18 early in the second half and by 10 with 55 seconds remaining on Davis' jumper.

Rebecca Greenwell and Azura Stevens both scored 16 points for the Blue Devils (19-9, 10-5).

NO. 17 IOWA 78, WISCONSIN 74

IOWA CITY, Iowa (AP) - Bethany Doolittle scored 22 points, Samantha Logic finished an assist short of a triple-double and Iowa held off Wisconsin.

Logic, a Wisconsin native who had her career high of 30 points in the last meeting, had 20 points, 10 rebounds and nine assists for the Hawkeyes (22-6, 13-4 Big Ten). Ally Disterhoft added 17 points.

Jacki Gulczynski had 19 points and 11 rebounds for Wisconsin (8-19, 4-13).

NO. 25 NORTHWESTERN 80, NO. 20 RUTGERS 60

EVANSTON, Ill. (AP) - Ashley Deary scored 19 points, Maggie Lyon added 17 added and Northwestern won its eighth in a row, handing Rutgers its worst loss of the season.

Northwestern (22-6, 12-5 Big Ten) has beaten four ranked teams in a season for the second time in program history and the first since 1978-79. Nia Coffey added 15 points with 10 rebounds for the Wildcats.

Betnijah Laney scored 21 points for Rutgers (20-8, 11-6).

NO. 22 GEORGE WASHINGTON 81, RICHMOND 69, OT

RICHMOND, Va. (AP) - Caira Washington scored 17 points and George Washington opened overtime with an 11-0 run to beat Richmond and lock up at least a share of the Atlantic 10 regular-season title.

Lauren Chase added 16 points for George Washington (25-3, 14-1).

Richmond's Janelle Hubbard hit a 3-pointer at the buzzer to force overtime. Hubbard led Richmond (16-12, 8-7) with 21 points.

NO. 23 SYRACUSE 60, CLEMSON 55

CLEMSON, S.C. (AP) - Alexis Peterson scored 18 points, and Briana Day had 10 points and 10 rebounds for Syracuse.

Syracuse (21-8, 11-5 ACC) heads into the conference tournament with a first-round bye and a four-game winning streak. With her seventh rebound, Day set Syracuse's single-season rebounding record, and has 305.

Nikki Dixon scored 13 of her 15 points in the second half for Clemson (9-19, 1-14).
