Linn boys to play Iberia for Class 2 District 8 crown

RUSSELLVILLE, Mo. - The Linn Wildcats advanced to the championship game of the Class 2 District 8 Tournament with a 50-35 win against Russellville on Thursday.

Ben Klebba led the Wildcats with 16 points, while Daulton Niederhelm chipped in with 11.

Second-seeded Linn led 15-9 after one quarter, 30-16 at the half and 40-23 after three quarters.

Levi Anderson scored 12 for Russellville and Koy Bond scored 10.

Russellville, the No. 6 seed in the tournament, ends its season with a 10-15 record.

Top-seeded Iberia, the fourth-ranked Class 2 team in the state, defeated fourth seed Vienna 57-31 to advance to the championship as well.

Linn (17-10) and Iberia play at 2 p.m. Saturday in the title game.
