RUSSELLVILLE, Mo. - The Tipton Lady Cardinals scored 20 points in both the second and third quarters Wednesday night in a 59-26 victory against the Russellville Lady Indians in the semifinals of the Class 2 District 8 Tournament.
Tipton led 14-7 after one quarter before taking a 34-13 advantage into intermission. The top-seeded Lady Cardinals stretched their lead to 54-23 heading into the final period.
Ashton Pace scored 19 points for Tipton.
Russellville ends its season at 5-21.
New Bloomfield, the No. 2 seed, claimed the other spot in the championship game with a 56-26 victory against Iberia later Wednesday night.
The championship game is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Friday.
