A Jefferson City woman was indicted by a federal grand jury Wednesday for embezzling $410,000 from the bank where she was employed.
Katherine Nicholle Brown, 28, was charged in an indictment returned by a federal grand jury in Jefferson City.
Brown was previously employed as the lead teller at Hawthorn Bank on East High Street.
The indictment states that Brown embezzled $410,000 from December 2012 to Sept. 19, 2014 by taking money from the bank vault for her personal use.
