The Lincoln softball team decided it didn't need to see what the weekend brings before cancelling their home-opening doubleheader.
The Blue Tigers were originally scheduled to play Drury University on Wednesday in a pair of games. However, the forecast led them to believe Lincoln Field wouldn't be ready in time, and they have shifted the twinbill with the Lady Panthers to March 9. Those games will now start at 1 p.m. Those games will still open the home portion of Lincoln's schedule.
The Blue Tigers are slated to return to action March 3 with a doubleheader at Maryville University.
