One injured in two-car accident

A Jefferson City man was injured in a two-vehicle accident at 5:25 p.m. Tuesday on U.S. 50 west of Missouri 7 in Jackson County.

The Missouri Highway Patrol reported a 2013 Ford F-150, driven eastbound by Russell R. Philbert, 53, Jefferson City, struck the rear of a 2012 Ford truck, driven eastbound by Shane O. Smith, 34, Kansas City. After impact, the Philbert vehicle went off the right side of the road and came to rest in a field.

Philbert was taken to Centerpoint Hospital.

Both drivers were wearing seat belts.

A Macks Creek woman was treated for moderate injuries after a one-vehicle accident in Camden County Wednesday morning.

Patrol reports show Stacy Boone, 43, was on U.S. 54 Eastbound, just west of Murray Hollow Road, around 6:30 a.m.

She struck a patch of ice, lost control, slid off the right side of the road, struck an embankment and overturned.

Boone was not wearing a seat belt.
