SOUTH BEND, Ind. (AP) - Jewell Loyd scored 21 points to lead No. 4 Notre Dame to a 63-50 win over No. 10 Duke on Monday night.

Duke started strong, jumping out to a 14-5 lead over the first 5:31. But the Irish eventually heated up from beyond the arc, hitting nine 3's. Loyd hit 5 of her 6 3-point attempts, while Duke missed all 12 of its tries.

Notre Dame (24-2, 11-1 ACC) went on a 14-5 run of its own over the final 10:17 of the first half to take a 34-24 lead into the break. During that stretch, Duke hit just two of nine attempts from the field and the Irish held a 12-7 rebounding advantage.

A 6-0 Duke run to start the second half trimmed the lead to 34-30 but an 11-0 Irish burst gave Notre Dame its largest lead at 19 with 11:05 left. Duke couldn't recover.

Elizabeth Williams led the Blue Devils (19-7, 10-3) with 16 points.

No. 5 MARYLAND 75, MICHIGAN STATE 69

EAST LANSING, Mich. (AP) - Brionna Jones scored 17 points, Shatori Walker-Kimbrough and Laurin Mincy each had 15 and Maryland escaped with a win over Michigan State.

Lexie Brown added 14 points and Tierney Pfirman 11 for the balanced Terrapins (23-2, 14-0 Big Ten), winners of 17 straight games.

Aerial Powers scored 18 points for the Spartans (12-14, 4-11). Tori Jankoska and Becca Mills each had 14 and Cara Miller had 10.

Michigan State led by a point with less than 10 minutes left but couldn't make enough shots down the stretch to turn a scare into a shocker.

No. 15 TEXAS A&M 70, ALABAMA 49

COLLEGE STATION, Texas (AP) - Courtney Walker scored a career-high 27, moving into ninth on Texas A&M's career scoring list with 1,327 points, and the Aggie women beat Alabama to secure their 10th consecutive 20-win season.

Jordan Jones, who came into the game leading the SEC and ranked 11th nationally at 6.7 assists per game, had 10 assists for Texas A&M (20-6, 8-4 SEC), and the junior moved into fourth on the school's career list with 508. Courtney Williams added 13 points, giving her 1,006 for career, and Chelsea Jennings scored 10 for the Aggies.

Texas A&M, which made 34 of 65 (52.3 percent) field goals and outrebounded Alabama 38-26, closed the first half with a 10-2 run and took a 31-19 lead into the break.

Alabama (13-14, 2-10) pulled within 10 when Quanetria Bolton hit a 3-pointer with 14:07 left, but Walker scored the first seven of 11 straight by Texas A&M to make it 52-31 about three minutes later.

Ashley Williams led the Crimson Tide with 15 points.

No. 20 CHATTANOOGA 66, WESTERN CAROLINA 41

CULLOWHEE, N.C. (AP) - Jasmine Joyner scored 18 points and Chattanooga had no trouble beating Western Carolina.

Joyner was 9 of 16 from the field with six blocked shots and three steals for Chattanooga (23-3, 11-0 Southern Conference). Chelsey Shumpert had 13 points and Keiana Gilbert had 10 points and six rebounds as the Mocs shot 51 percent overall.

Chattanooga proved to be just too much for the Catamounts, running up a 35-11 score by halftime as Shumpert and Gilbert combined for 17 points.

Joyner took over early in the second half, hitting three buckets in the first four minutes, and the Mocs' lead hit 30 on Alicia Payne's layup before coach Jim Foster opened his bench.

Western Carolina (9-17, 1-10) was led by Justin Taylor with 11 points and Ace Easter with 10.
