FULTON, Mo. - The William Woods women's basketball team topped Lindenwood-Belleville in American Midwest Conference Play on Saturday, 77-65.
Kennedy Volkart (Russellville High School) scored 12 for the Owls, second only to Kelsey Scherder's team-high 13. Volkart was 6-of-6 from the line and pulled down seven rebounds.
The Owls led by just two at the half but pulled away for their 17th win of the year. William Woods made 6-of-7 3-point attempts in the second half and shot 50 percent from 3-point range overall.
William Woods (17-7) plays Tuesday at Harris-Stowe State.
