When Barry Ballard joined Ouachita Technical College in spring 2001, less than one student in 10 got through school with a diploma or transferred to a four-year college or university, he said. Today almost half of the students finish their programs of study within three years and either enter the job market in their field or continue their education.

Members of the Lincoln University women's track and field team were presented with their 2014 NCAA Division II Championship rings Wednesday night in Jefferson City.

The rings were passed out during a special ceremony between the LU women and men's basketball games at Jason Gymnasium on the Lincoln campus.
