Four Jefferson City players in double figures

COLUMBIA, Mo. - A balanced attack was the difference Tuesday night.

The Jefferson City Jays had four players in double figures to offset a big night by Jimmy Whitt of Hickman in a 73-65 victory against the Kewpies.

Jacob Gourley finished with 15 points to pace the Jays, who led 16-14 after one quarter and 35-33 at halftime. Kamari Balton had 13 points, while Gunner See chipped in with 12. O.G. Anunoby, who battled foul trouble, added 10.

Whitt, who has signed with Arkansas, scored 41 points for the Kewpies (13-8). Chase Thomas added 11.

Jefferson City (14-7), which has won nine of its last 11 games, will return to Columbia on Friday to play at Battle.
