Primrose Retirement Community announces new director of nursing

Primrose Retirement Community of Jefferson City recently announced Ashley Rackers has joined the team as director of nursing for the independent and assisted living community. In this role, Rackers will guide and oversee the overall care of residents and, in conjunction with Executive Director Sandy Kliegel, manage the nursing staff. Rackers, who began working at Primrose Jan. 26, will also ensure compliance with all necessary regulations.

A 2005 graduate of the University of Central Missouri, Rackers has been a hospital nurse and has held several leadership positions within skilled nursing communities prior to joining Primrose.

"I am excited to be part of the growth and development of such a new outlook on retirement living," Rackers said in a news release. "I'm delighted to be a part of a team who gets the opportunity to bring this to the Central Missouri area."

"Ashley holds a reputation for providing high quality care as a compassionate nursing professional," said Tami Davis, Primrose regional operations manager, in the release. "She is a dedicated individual who is known for consistently going beyond what is required, and we are excited to have Ashley on the Jefferson City team."

Primrose Retirement Community of Jefferson City, located at 1214 Freeedom Blvd., is currently under construction and will consist of 36 independent living apartments, 40 assisted living apartments and eight townhome villas.
