A Warrensburg man was listed in good condition Saturday at Capital Region Medical Center in Jefferson City, after he was hurt in a Cole County accident at 5:50 a.m. Saturday.

Denziel W. Perkins, 20, was the passenger in a westbound 2006 Chevrolet Cobalt that ran off the right side of U.S. 50, struck a bluff and overturned, 58 feet west of the Henwick Lane intersection.

The patrol said the driver, Marquise S. McDowell, 19, Warrensburg, apparently fell asleep. He suffered minor injuries and refused treatment.

The patrol said McDowell was using a seat belt, but Perkins was not.
