RUSTON, La. - The Missouri State softball team opened its season with a pair of wins Friday in the Louisiana Tech Invitational.
Following a 4-3 win against Abilene Christian, the Bears downed Louisiana-Monroe 7-4.
Erin Struemph (St. Elizabeth High School) got the win in the second game, pitching 52/3 innings. She allowed four earned runs on 10 hits and one walk while striking out five.
