A Jefferson City man has been sentenced to 15 years in prison after authorities found a large amount of marijuana at his residence last March.
Ronald Russell, 59, of 126 Marshall St., pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute.
Authorities served a search warrant at Russell's residence and found a toolbox in a bedroom which had a shoe box containing about 44 grams of marijuana.
In a bedroom, they also found a gallon-size bag of marijuana with about 455 grams, or nearly one pound.
A .32-caliber handgun was found under a pillow on a bed. Also found were another small bag of marijuana in the living room, a partial box of sandwich bags, a digital scale and money.
