NEWBURG, Mo. - The St. Elizabeth Lady Hornets dropped a 50-40 decision to Newburg in the semifinals of the Newburg Tournament on Thursday night.
Brooke Struemph had 12 points to pace the Lady Hornets, who trailed 14-5 after one quarter and 33-20 at the half. Megan Kemna and Mackenzie Struemph had 10 points each for St. Elizabeth. Mackenzie Struemph also a team-high six rebounds.
The Lady Hornets (6-12) will play Steelville in the third-place game at 6 p.m. Saturday.
