An Eldon teenager was killed in a one vehicle accident in Morgan County on Monday afternoon.
Missouri Highway Patrol reports show Tyla Lundh, 19, was attempting to pass another vehicle on a curve on Missouri 5 near the Gravois Mills access just before 4:30 p.m.
She traveled off the road, struck a fence and overturned. Her vehicle became partially submerged in lake water.
Lundh, who was not wearing a seat belt, was ejected from the vehicle and was partially submerged in the water near the shoreline. She was eventually pronounced dead at the scene.
This is the first fatality accident in February in the 13 counties that make up the patrol's Troop F Central Missouri patrol area and it's their seventh fatality accident worked so far in 2015.
