Volunteers and sponsors are needed Sept. 24-28 to support the visit by the Vietnam Memorial Moving Wall to Missouri's Capitol.
The Jefferson City Veterans Council sponsored a visit in 2005 by the half-sized replica of the Washington, D.C., memorial. Because of the significant response, the council decided to host the memorial visit again.
The wall offers healing, education, and a chance to reflect and remember. However, the logistics of the five-day visit of the sizable wall requires monetary and in-kind donations, as well as hundreds of volunteers.
