EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. - The Calvary Lutheran Lions and Lady Lions opened the season Saturday at the Metro East Lutheran Invitational.
The Calvary boys finished 27th out of 50 teams in the event. Robert Ashbaugh led the Lions, taking 67th in 19:35. Other Calvary finishers included: Cal Kolzow (97th, 20:04), Drew Collett (186th, 21:37), Reece Going (228th, 22:30) and Remington Wilson (304th, 24:03)
There were 401 runners in the boys race.
On the girls side, Madeline Wilson of Calvary finished 165th in 26:43 while Bailey Barg was 329th in 35:49.
There were 352 runners in the girls race.
