AVA, Mo. (AP) - Southwest Missouri authorities say a man has been fatally stabbed in a fight over a woman.
Douglas County Sheriff Chris Degase says authorities were called Friday night to a home about eight miles west of Ava. Degase says 37-year-old Robert Koch ('KUK) was lying dead in the yard, and the suspect was on the front porch with his head in his hands.
Degase says Koch had gone to the suspect's home because his girlfriend was there. A fight then ensued, and Koch was killed. Degase says it appeared the woman also had a relationship with the suspect.
The suspect was taken into custody, but no charges were immediately filed. Degase says the man doesn't have an attorney.
An autopsy is scheduled for Monday.
