The Helias girls tennis team moved to 4-0 on the season Thursday with a 9-0 defeat of Battle.
In doubles action, Ashley Dowden and Megan Oliver (8-3), Abby Dowden and Liz Conley (8-1), and Grace Verslues and Emmi Theroff (8-0) were winners.
Singles winners were: Ashley Dowden (6-2, 6-1), Abby Dowden (6-0, 6-0), Oliver (6-1, 7-5), Conley (6-1, 6-1), Verslues (6-0, 6-1), and Theroff (6-3, 6-2).
In junior varsity, Helias went 7-1. JV winners were: Catherine Conley and Anna Theroff (7-5), Kayla Walters and Kaitlyn Snyder (6-2), Emily Thomeczek and Haley Goldman (7-5), Martina Lorang and Grace Twehous (6-3), Maggie Jones and Sarah Ginther (6-0), Ellen Gallaher and Maria Martinho (6-4), and Liza Gordon and Rebecca Lage (6-50.
Helias plays a triad with Belleville East and Belleville West today at Rock Bridge.
