Amid a mass of purple and pink ruffles, Dana Roberts has grown her successful online business into an accompanying girls' clothing store in downtown Jefferson City.
Alyssa's Garden Boutique opened at 314 Jefferson St. last Thursday.
The new boutique takes its name from Roberts' 4-year-old daughter, Alyssa, who has an influential hand in selecting its inventory.
"She's my inspiration for all this," Roberts said. "I started falling in love with all her clothes."
Alyssa's Garden Boutique offers a variety of clothing for girls from newborn to age 6 (up to size 6X). Options include everyday outfits up to special event dresses, as well as shoes, socks, some accessories and some mom-to-be gifts. Special event dresses can also be ordered online in sizes up to girls' 18.
Roberts has operated an online version of the store through eBay for almost two years.
Alyssa's Garden Boutique is open from 9:30 a.m.-4 p.m. Mondays through Fridays and by appointment on Saturdays.
