Watch VideoRichard James Sullivan is accused of second-degree burglary and first-degree property damage for driving his pickup truck into Crossroads Convenience Store and attempting to steal an ATM inside, causing extensive damage to the store in the process. His bond was set at $3,500 in cash only.
A security camera in the store recorded video of an unmasked burglar in the act. Sullivan was arrested after Sheriff Chris Heitman released images from the recording and asked the public for help identifying the suspect.
"I anticipate charges being filed out of Phelps County and Miller County as well because he allegedly broke into businesses in those counties around the same time," Heitman said.
