The physicians of Family Care Associates are now seeing patients at Jefferson City Medical Group.
The Family Care Associates practice, formerly located at 701 W. High St., has merged with JCMG's Family Medicine Department at the main JCMG campus on West Stadium Boulevard. The two have always been affiliated.
"It was something that had been talked about for some time, and it seemed like now was a good opportunity with a few of our physicians in our Family Medicine Department retiring," said JCMG Marketing Manager Emily Mantle. "There will be an advantage to the patients coming here now because we do have more services in this building available to them. The service that those physicians provided will not change; they'll still receive the same great care. It's just going to be in one building now."
The physicians moving from Family Care Associates are Dr. James Weiss, Dr. Jack Dodson and nurse practitioner Terry Krantz.
All Family Care Associates employees have taken new positions at JCMG, and all patients have been informed of the change, Mantle said.
